Richard Tyler, born in Australia, opened his first boutique at age 18 and his career has been constantly rising since. Following the launch of a line for men in 1987, he then released his critically acclaimed women"s wear line in 1989. He was named designer of the Anne Klein Collection four years later. Over the next few years, Richard Tyler Couture laid claim to his impeccable tailoring and modern, elegant designs, which earned him three CFDA awards, as well as a Michelangelo Shoe Award for his debut footwear collection. His primer standards, including hand finished detailing, have made him a favorite among astute lovers of haute couture. He is continually expanding, as of recent debuted Richard Tyler Bride, handbag and scarf collections, and Tyler, his bridge line. In each of his collections, Tyler emphasizes quality, construction and fit, melding the best of American design and European Couture tradition.
