Fashion Biography

Joaquin Trias, Fashion Designer

Self taught designer Joaquin Trias was born and raised in Spain, where he learned the essence and respect for elegance from an early age. In September 2009, at New York Fashion Week he presented his first collection for TRIAS, Spring / Summer 2010 : Lineal Study.

Joaquin"s strict study of structure and texture in the work process provides this impeccable effect in the design : a clear and pure aesthetic that conceals technical complicity. Part of his influence comes from the discreet elegance without ostentation transmitted by the designer"s two grandmothers; one of whom was Frida Trias, model and muse of Cristobal Balenciaga.

References such as effort, rigor, discipline, balance and continuity have been achieved by the designer through his personal and professional experience like his past sports career as a tennis player contrasting with his creative and intuitive spirit.

Qualities, translated into the brand values : a constant search for Respect, Perfection, Innovation and Strength, the four pillars of TRIAS. The result is the achievement of a modern, universal and timeless style that respectfully challenges engineered lineal construction. A style imparted to the woman that TRIAS creates.
