Christopher Raeburn, Fashion Designer

Royal College of Art graduate Christopher Raeburn is a young British fashion designer known for creating ethically aware men"s and womenswear collections that are original in design. Utilising re appropriated military fabrics, Christopher Raeburn creates garments that are functional, intelligent and meticulously crafted.

During Autumn 2009 Raeburn was selected for the esteemed British Fashion Council NEWGEN sponsorship and also the Centre for Fashion Enterprise"s Venture Programme. This support sat alongside mentoring advice from industry expert Susanne Tide Frater as part of the British Fashion Council"s Eco Mentoring Scheme. In March 2010 Raeburn presented his AW10 collection entitled Prepare+Protect "in London, Paris, Tokyo and New York, leading to orders from domestic orders from Browns Focus, Liberty and Harvey Nichols and international orders from Barneys, 10 Corso Como, Penelope, Gago, United Arrows, Beams and Isetan.

Raeburn is now preparing for SS11 and will be showing for the first time at Paris Menswear. Summer 2010 will also see Raeburn building installations, working on collaborations and presenting his new womenswear collection in London and Paris in the autumn. Christopher Raeburn"s collections are highlighted for their intelligent design, high quality and extreme attention to detail. Staunchly British, all Raeburn garments are proudly ăRemade in England and produced in East London.
